Brown print on white glaze presenting a view of a city and harbour, surrounded by a broad floral band of rosettes and bellflowers on the lip. By the 1830s the Vranov manufactory (Frainer Steingutmanufaktur) had mastered the English style of transfer printing. The marina scene presented here was originally designed by F. Scala in 1838. The manufactory executed printed designs in blue, brown, red, and green, and later also in black.
